TEST: Creme de la mer

I caved when confronted with the BA duty free magazine. I always do, even though the products aren't that exciting. In hindsight - well - I probably shouldn't have.

It's not that it's a bad product as such – for the price there is no way that it could be. And, it doesn't have celebrities and beauty ed's swearing by it miracle properties for nothing. In fact, those with super dry skin would find all the answers to their skincare prayers in this little pot of joy. But - for oily skins - its intense richness and thick formula definitely aren't compatible. It was an expensive mistake to make, somewhat of a binge-buy on the flight from India. If you happen to make the same price with expensive skincare there is a way around it. Just take a small amount of the product, warm with your hands and press into the skin gently. Don’t apply it straight to the face, on you’ll get the full effect of the heavy cream. So whilst it's not right for my skin, the way I'm applying it seems to be working and my skin looks great. Can't really argue with that can you?

£90 for 30ml (I paid £70)

  1. Totally agree. While it's full of goodies, it's just way to heavy for most complexions (mine included). Great application tip too - think most of us slather way to much on and then wonder why it's clogging up our skin. Less is def more...
PS love reading your blog. Full of great tips, fab pictures and up-to-date inspiration....
