TESTY: La Metier de Beaute Kaleidoscope lipkit

I wasn't sure on La Metier de Beaute initially. The weird name, the price, the niche-ness of it all. It made me want to rebel against it. But they're a great little brand, for the most part, I’m won over!


These beautiful glosses are enriched with vitamins and pretty long-wearing. Though the colours in this kit are would suit any skin tone, they are pretty subtle in terms of pigment. I’m a real impact make up girl, so they were far too sheer for me.

You're supposed to blend them to make your perfect shade, which is a nice sentiment. I guess if you're going to spend £55 on lipgloss you can afford to sit somewhere elegant whilst you mix your own lipgloss shade. For me there has to be an element of practicality and I'd find it a real ball-ache to sit mixing my own lip shade and carry around this big cumbersome set of glosses. Pretty, but unpractical. Never thought I’d say that being the queen of faff and pomp, but there you have it. Cinderella had to grow up sometime right?

PEEK: Blust lust

I'm loving the blush this week. Taking my make up cues from the new romantics and my fashion cues from er, Beetlejuice. I really enjoy clashing colours so pinks with reds and and a bit of gold to catch the light. I added a dark brown shadow to the brows with a small angled brush so they're defined, but not too dark and draggy. I'm normally a lipstick girl so this is a nice change!

Nice but dull, nice but dull, nice but good for a doll? Should I start doing abstract reviews? Compared to everyone else mine are really brief! But some products are underwhelming. Maybe I should just do a massive round up of products that are good but er *YAWN*.

Or am I being lazy-I'll give it another shot.


These face tints can be worn on lips or cheeks, but I'd rather fancy them on the eyelids as a wet pale pink. They're a creme texture but quite sticky although the pigment is vibrant for a pale shade. Would look lovely on a fair skin tones, with huge hair and Edie Sedgewick make up. On darker skins as a REAL statement lip with the same dark eyes and huge hair.

So, got myself one of these babies to see what all the fuss was about.


Love the colours, so much so that I er, went overboard and used them ALL together. Its like a car crash isn't it, you just can’t stop looking. What you should probably do is use them in two’s for a more chic look.


I wouldn't buy again, only because two of these would set me back well over £100 squid. Just think how many sweet treats you could buy with that eh! (If I never blog again you'll know it was because I died from eating £100 worth of cuppycakes from Lola's! :/
