I met Edward Bess over lunch yesterday and can I just say, both the man himself and the line are exquisite. The colours are decadent yet wearable; they all smell delicious and the textures are soft and finely milled like Chantecaille. In short it’s all very luxe and hi-end. Totally made up for my disappointment after the Tom Ford launch! This is what I want from a luxury make up brand thankyouverymuch.
I know I keep saying it, but I really think packaging is important. If affects the way you feel when you wear a product. I love that this line is so sleek and modern but still classic. It's my pet peeve with Illamasqua but the packaging is so bulbous that it takes up half my make up bag. Size does matter chaps. I digress…back to Mr Bess.
I'm all over the Compact Rouge in Love Affair £30 from the amazing ZUNETA It’s a lovely cheeky pink, that’s sheer but not oily. I find the Becca ones have a bit too much pigment in so this is spot on. It’s a lovely shade for a darker skins too so I will definitely be purchasing.
