In reality however, they’re clumpy and tend to contain one lovely colour and a whole load of insipid crappy biscuity colours. What’s more, many of them (ahem, YSL, Elizabeth Arden) only tend to suit fairer complexions which isn’t cool at all. Why do brands still do that? It makes me want to use intardnet-speak like FFS, WTF and OMFG at the injustice of it all!
This beautiful little Lola palette is exquisite. Nice to see Lola here, I’d only seen them in Sephora in the US before now. The palette is compact, the size of a large-ish matchbox (nice and vague there), the eye shadows and glosses would suit a variety of skin tones and ultimately it’s all very user friendly. My one gripe is that the blushers and both a little on the pale side and wouldn’t show on my skin tone which is disappointing. Top marks for effort though!
