I've recently moved to a pretty lively arty part of London.
This is D-Town.

Anything goes and generally speaking, style wise, the louder the better.
Have to admit, I love it. Everyone here is friendly and hot, we quite often make new friends walking along the road. Did I mention how hot everyone is. H O T. I used to live in a slightly skanky area up the road from Camden. (Not near enough to be part of the Camden vibe.) Think pies and Arsenal rather than punks.
I used to be really bold when it came to hair and make up, it was part of growing up goth. It’s been pink, blue, dreads, shaved, braided in plastic (rexlace), you name it, and that's just the hair! Things do change when you get older, but I never wanted to change so much that I blended into the crowd or didn't recognise myself. I'm not into blending, unless it’s in eye shadow terms.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say in a really long-winded way is that my new home makes me want to experiment and get VERY creative with my make up. I feel freer here, but I wonder is it’s more psychological than that. Maybe I feel like I can dress and look more creatively because it’s the norm around here. Instead of analyzing this until it bleeds, I'm going to let it ride, it feels right man. HAPPY TIMES.
That's two non make-up related posts. JIBBER JABBER.
