GUESTPOST: Ellie tries Philosophy 'Help Me' Retinol night treatment

What they say:
This winner of Allure magazine's editor's choice "Best of Beauty" award for best antiaging treatment helps keep pores clean and minimized, reduces wrinkles and discoloration, and boosts tone and firmness. It delivers the key ingredient, retinol, through encapsulated microsponge technology, which offers stability for gradual release into the skin. The time-release innovation, along with a soothing dose of bisabolol, increases efficacy and helps prevent irritation.

What Ellie thinks:
'I love this being on my dressing table-there is something a little 'Wonderland' about a small white tube of cream with the words 'Help Me' printed on it, and lets face it, we all need a bit of help don't we? I had to Google 'Retinol' and discovered it is a form of Vitamin A which is used both in the treatment of acne and increases skin cell turnover which in theory gives a more youthful appearance. Being in my mid 20's anti-ageing isn't my main concern (that would be vodka and inappropriate men) but using a product like this a couple of times a week certainly isn't going to hurt, especially as your mid-twenties is the time to start really looking after your skin. I've been using it before bed, and in the morning my skin is beautifully soft.'

The research:
In an eight-week independent clinical study, clinician grading showed:
- 100% of subjects had improvement in fine lines.
- 100% had smoother skin.
- 94% had improvement in wrinkles.
- 88% had firmer skin.
